About me

Sarah's Philosophy

Sarah believes that every mother and partner, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic position, deserves access to unbiased and non-judgmental support, care and encouragement as they transition into their roles as parents. It is Sarah's goal to meet both the practical and emotional needs of the families she serves. Sara aims to help integrate the new baby successfully into the family, while fostering parental confidence, in a loving, gentle manner.
Sarah's Story

The call to support women and their families in the role of postpartum doula stemmed from Sarah's personal experience welcoming her first baby into the world.
A few years after the birth of her daughter, Sarah began her journey towards postpartum doula certification. Having spent the past 20 years as a professional ballet dancer, both with the New York City Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet, Sarah is grateful and humbled by this "second calling." She brings an attention to detail, passion, focus and joy to the work she does with postpartum families.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, and tending her flock of chickens! She especially loves enjoying the outdoors with her husband Seth, and their daughter, Lola.
Sarah is also an Advanced Swedish Hospital Doula.

"Sarah swept into our home with professionalism and grace. She easily took charge of my infant and two older children. I would certainly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a postpartum doula."
