About me

My Philosophy

I believe that every mother and partner, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic position, deserves access to unbiased and non-judgmental support, care and encouragement as they transition into their roles as parents. It is my goal to meet both the practical and emotional needs of the families I serve. I aim to help integrate the new baby succesfully into the family, while fostering parental confidence in a loving, gentle manner.

"Sarah swept into our home with professionalism and grace. She easily took charge of my infant and two older children. I would certainly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a postpartum doula." - Laura

My Story

Like many, the call to serve women and their families in the role of postpartum doula stemmed from my personal experience welcoming our first baby into our family.

A few years after the birth of our daughter, I began my journey towards postpartum doula certification. Having spent the past 20 years as a professional ballet dancer, both with the New York City Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet, I am grateful and humbled by this "second calling." I bring the same attention to detail, passion, focus and dedication to my role as a postpartum doula, that I have to my career in dance.
